# Frequently asked questions

Did not find your answer? Write to us at support@legamik.com.

## Will the letter be formally correct?

The letter has the elements of a formal submission — structure, identification of the parties and the matter, and references to the legislation your case can rely on. You review it yourself before sending.

## What if I am not satisfied?

If you request a refund before the finished letter is made available to you, we refund the full amount, no reasons needed — a contractual guarantee beyond what the law requires, and what counts is when the request is sent. We also refund the full amount if a technical error on our side prevents the letter from being generated or made available. Your rights arising from defective performance remain unaffected. We handle requests (support@legamik.com) without undue delay, usually within 24 hours; when the money reaches your account depends on your bank (typically 5–10 business days).

## How fast is the letter ready?

The process takes up to 5 minutes. The letter starts generating right after successful payment and is usually ready within a few minutes.

## What exactly does Legamik do for me?

It turns your description into a formal letter: adding the legal structure and — where your case has statutory backing — references to specific provisions and deadlines. You review and send the letter yourself — nothing happens without you.

## Which laws does the letter rely on?

It depends on the category. Complaints about municipalities and public authorities build on the Administrative Procedure Code (Act No. 500/2004 Coll.), utility complaints on the Energy Act (No. 458/2000 Coll.). General consumer protection comes from the Civil Code (No. 89/2012 Coll.) and the Consumer Protection Act (No. 634/1992 Coll.). The letter always cites the specific provisions that fit your case.

## How long does the other side have to respond?

It depends on the type of case: claims are typically 30 days (Section 19 of Act No. 634/1992 Coll.), complaints to authorities 60 days (Section 175 of Act No. 500/2004 Coll.). The letter states the deadline directly in its text, so the other side has it in black and white. You will also see the deadline on your letter page, where we track it for you.

## Is my data safe?

Yes, we process your data in line with GDPR and encrypt it in transit and at rest. We don’t share it with third parties beyond running the service — payments, email and letter generation are handled by vetted partners who don’t use your data for their own purposes; the AI providers don’t use it to train their models. Details, including retention periods, are in our privacy policy.

## Is Legamik a law firm?

No. Legamik is a publishing tool — it drafts a legally grounded letter from your description, which you send yourself. It does not provide legal advice or representation. If you want advice on a specific course of action or someone to represent you, that is work for a lawyer — you can find one in the Czech Bar Association registry.
